Fabian Daniel Scheidegger, *1987

Photography to me, is a way of stepping back, of finding beauty in the stillness of a moment. A good picture should translate a sense of belonging to the viewer. Making the viewer feel like he’s /she’s in the situation without being physically able to be so. There’s a certain feeling that a Photography can translate. Fascinated by the Art of telling a Story through Photographs, I’m always on the lookout for moments to capture.

A Coffee lover and enthusiast of standing sideways on a Skate- Snow- or Surfboard.

While shooting mostly on black and white film, I also work digital with minimal post-processing for selected assignments.

“The talented young photographer finds inspiration in the work of Ed Templeton, Ray Barbee, Jason Lee, Spidey Smith, Robert Frank and William Egglestone, among others. But also other corners of art for example the music and visual interpretation of Nick Cave constantly are constantly influencing his images.

From his touching analogue pictures, it is clear to me that Fabian wants to convey a certain feeling with his photographs that should move something deep inside.” -Noemi Gamliel, Co-Curator of Photo-Schweiz
